About Us

When I was born a few decades ago (the last of five girls), my mother was dying of blood poison and other complications.  Daddy kept a close vigil over Mother day and night.

Naming the baby was not a priority!  But when the nurses did finally inquire of a name, Daddy, in his sadness, just quietly replied, "Just name her Little Fannie-after her mother."

After many prayers from family and friends, Mother began to rally and things slowly returned to normal.

It wasn't until Mother recovered that I became known as Fannie Beth.  Years later, when I applied for a passport, I discovered my original birth certificate read Little Fannie Swint, and that is the first I knew of the story.

Naming the business Little Fannie's seemed so right as only I know what an important part God and my parents played in making it all possible.

Little Fannie's was established in the home in 1993 as a Bed and Breakfast.  I began moving old houses in and decorating them to compliment their name.  At this time, "Country Retreat" seemed more appropriate.  In 2001, we completed the Shed, perfect for grilling or hanging out.  In 2002, the Pappy shack became a reality.

Our facility sleeps 30-40, depending on availability. Our accommodations are perfect for Scrapbookers, reunions, church retreats, parties, showers; etc.
